Workplace Innovation: where people, technology and organisation come together
Technology is changing the way we work at a rapid pace. Automation is taking over tasks, AI is making its entrance and cobots are appearing on the work floor. The organisations leading the way are not necessarily the ones with the latest technology, but the ones that manage to make people, technology and organisation work together. That is easier said than done. And that is exactly where businesses need your help.
What will you do in this LC?
In LC Workplace Innovation, you work alongside real businesses on that challenge. Taking a human-centred approach, you investigate how work, collaboration and organisation can be structured so that technology genuinely contributes to better performance and to work that people find enjoyable and meaningful.
Think of a healthcare organisation using AI to reduce administrative pressure, smart technology that automatically converts conversations into patient records. The tool works, but adoption stalls. Employees are uncertain, processes are not adapting and support is lacking. Or a logistics company deploying a cobot for assembly and packaging, but without a clear picture of what humans do better than the machine and the other way around. In both cases, the technology is not the problem. The organisation around it is.
That is precisely what you tackle here. You map out both the hard and the soft side. The hard side: does the technology fit within the existing processes and infrastructure, and what needs to be redesigned? The soft side: how do you bring employees along in the change, what skills are needed and how do you build support? You analyse, but you also design, and you deliver a concrete, well-founded recommendation to your client.
Curious about why technology succeeds in one organisation but not in another? Join LC Workplace Innovation and find out in practice.
