Community Building
The neighborhood you grow up in and the people you know and connect with shape who you are. But what if you struggle to connect with the people around you? For example, because you experience (chronic) pain, you’re older and less active, or you simply don’t feel at home. How can you become part of a group and find connection?
In this cluster, you will contribute to building the communities and cities of the future. You will join forces with professional partners and Saxion’s research groups to design together with you. You will engage in digital and physical design processes. This way, you will contribute to creating future places where people can live healthier and longer lives. You will explore what enables someone to participate and feel happier, regardless of who they are.
During the semester, we will call upon your skills as a creator and connector. You will learn to design, to network, and to collaboration. You will delve deep into topics such as mental health, healthy aging, pain management, but above all, participating in a community. Lastly, there will be a lot of hands-on creation involved, including the building of digital content, space design, and shaping the social domain.
Are you a connector? Are you ready to roll up your sleeves for others? Then join us!
