For this assignment we ask you to develop a realistic VR experience in which military veterans are able to interact in an environment in which they have experienced trauma.

The idea is to create an immersive 3D game environment in which different scenarios can be played by the user. With the use of VR, the veterans are immersed in an environment which they associate with their trauma and relive that experience. This brings them into a state where they feel the emotions of the traumatic experience, which is used for therapeutic treatment by a psychologist.

For the development of this product we suggest you to use either Unity3D or the Unreal engine. Since user immersion is a crucial factor in this project, you are asked to research and decide which VR headset you will be using. Of course you are not alone with this, we will provide you with professional guidance during every stage of the project!

Creative Media & Game Technologies: Experience Designer – CMGT students can bring in their creative ideas, out-of-the-box thinking and knowledge in multi-media, technology and game development to create a high-quality VR product.

HBO-ICT Software Engineering: students can contribute to the project with their programming skills and efficient solutions to complex problems.

Nursing: VPK students can bring value to this project by ensuring a smooth treatment for the user/patient.

Health & Applied Technology: GT students can provide their expertise in healthcare and technology to ensure that the requirements of an effective treatment are met.
