Cluster: Sensor Technology 2
Wireless motion sensors are a promising technology to measure workload in employees. At Saxion we have an expanded Xsens system (Awinda), often used for top-sport, game- and movie-industry. It delivers spectacular live registration off movements, as you can see in the video below. In this project we want to use the wireless 3D motion sensors (accelerometers, gyroscopes and magnetometers) of this Xsens system and the new DOT sensors to measure different aspects of physical activity and full-body joint kinematics in a specific work environment.
In the client’s view the new project starting in February 2021 must be about:
– Exploring and testing the applications of the new DOT sensors;
– Quality improvement of the content of the app and the wearability;
– Building interfaces between the DOT-sensors, the app and the wearable.
