Develop next Generation Hi-Light Window Coverings
Bison code: L.28243
Artex, part of multinational Hunter Douglas Group, is a leading company in the interior design sector. Our products can be found in superior quality interior design and architecture, curtain, home decoration and furnishing, paint and wall-covering stores and furniture boulevards.
A relatively new material concept for roller blinds and panel-track window coverings is Hi-light. Hi-Light consists of a translucent triple layer structure, where different textile materials can be embedded between thin films. The current patented Hi-Light products contain digitally printed non-wovens. For the next generation, Artex is looking to investigate new aesthetics using yarns and textiles that are slit, cut and/or folded.
The goal of this project is:
- to develop attractive organic looks, preferably using waste-stream materials, and define the next collection
- to assure that the mechanical and physical properties of the final laminate are within required specifications
- to develop a working prototype of the process to consistently deliver arrays of yarns and/or textile elements into a continuous lamination process and manufacture the final laminate.
