Development of a circular insulation apron
Bison code: L.28208
The amount of waste in the disposable work wear is huge. In Dutch hospitals 200.000 – 1.000.000 isolation aprons are thrown away every week. The government set up a competition to develop a circular business model and Aarden is one of the selected companies with the best opportunities to change this linear model into a circular one.
In a closed loop of European companies Aarden managed to develop a circular fabric and a new product-service concept.
One of the main requirements is the comfort of the fitting and the convenience in use. How fast can someone put it on and take it off? How comfortable is the fitting. What are the needs, wishes and is there an innovative new way of dressing the workers in hospitals?
