Cycling with Global Goals
Bison code: L.28195
Dieren, located in the municipality of Rheden, wants to profile itself as THE bicycle city of the Netherlands. This is also because the Gazelle factory is located here. Gazelle plans to establish a cycling experience centre in Dieren next to the factory. The municipality wants to use this USP together with the rural surroundings, Veluwezoom and the IJssel with its floodplains, to attract visitors (tourists and holidaymakers) to the municipality. This will strengthen the local economy.
The aim is to develop a cycling route (partly known) to which global goals will be linked and to which sightseeing will be provided. In order to develop a cycle route, it is important to develop an (innovative) revenue model. Additional themes:
– Innovation with living (smart) technology
– Target group (children aged 8 to 12) linked to how to market the route
Many organisations want to respond more and more to the global goals, only they struggle a lot with interpreting these goals within their business operations. You have the opportunity to interpret global goals in an innovative way in a sporting and natural environment.
