Improving the environment for consumers in the city centre

Currently, few visitors come to shopping areas. The pandemic has brought this to a head. Various studies show that consumers want to be optimally served online and offline and that change is needed in the central places. Offering convenience and experience will become increasingly important in the coming years. At the moment, city centres are looking for a match in the shopping area that will attract consumers in the long term. Entrepreneurs are looking for different solutions, for example with omnichannel and platform options. The project aims to create an innovative online solution for consumers in the city centre, where the consumer is central. Creating experience and convenience for the consumer is central to the project. The project team will come up with ‘out of the box’ solutions, creating a connection between the consumer and the entrepreneurs in different inner cities via a platform. The project team will work with results from the current project group.
