Do you want to take action against climate change? Do you want to contribute to solutions for grid congestion and practical energy challenges? For example, by making smart use of solar and wind energy, charging electric vehicles at the right time, producing hydrogen, or reusing CO₂ and methane? Then the Learning Community (LC) Smart Energy Transition is for you!

In this LC, you will work on innovative products and processes in the fields of system integration, smart energy, bioenergy, heat applications, and hydrogen technology. We approach these innovations from a broad perspective: technical, economic, and societal. Together with researchers and experts from these domains, you will develop solutions that truly make an impact.

During your project, you can choose from a wide range of activities: from laboratory research and prototype development to analyzing energy data using machine learning and conducting market research through stakeholder interviews.

Collaboration is key. You will work in interdisciplinary teams where you leverage each other’s expertise. You will consult with external partners such as companies, researchers, and subject matter experts, and learn how to align your ideas with real-world needs. Through this interaction, you will not only develop technical skills but also communication, project management, and critical thinking. Additionally, where possible, you will have the opportunity to participate in conferences, trade fairs, and company visits.

In short: If you are ready to tackle real-world problems and contribute to a sustainable future, the LC Smart Energy Transition is your chance to shine.
